Welcome!

The Fintech Law Group is a boutique law firm focused on 1) licensing and technology transactions, and 2) Customs and international trade law.

Licensing and Technology Transactions

We represent both vendors and customers in data and technology transactions in the financial services industry, and have experience in negotiations with clients and vendors.

We assist clients in agreements related to the licensing, sourcing and distribution of technologies such as software, database tools and analytics for financial institutions, trading platforms, back-office, customer-facing digital infrastructure, data management tools, low-latency data feeds, market data and alternative data.

In addition, we are well versed in issues that are uniquely implicated in financial technology companies such as the protection of algorithmic trading strategies, derived financial data, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in finance.

We advise FinTech vendors on developing new revenue lines by utilizing technology and data effectively and we help them protect and commercialize their data and technology by structuring, drafting, and negotiating robust and effective licensing agreements and distribution programs.

Clients that are licensing FinTech products and services benefit from our understanding of the financial services industry and our experience and ability to draft and negotiate deals that meet their objectives and appropriately mitigate their risks.

We negotiate commercial contracts that are robust and pragmatic and lay the foundation for a successful outcome.

Customs & International Trade

We help clients to reduce import duties, mitigate penalties and achieve compliance with customs and U.S. international trade regulations, and overcome Customs demands and complexities of today's import & export transactions.
